Berrigan's Sub Shop
Berrigan’s is a locally owned sub shop that has been a “Bloomsburg tradition since 1964 with a wide variety of options to satisfy any palate. A customer favorite, the Original Regular with “Everything” features four different cold cuts, provolone, hot peppers, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, shakers and oil, all for the low price of $3.50, or $7 if you want the whole 16 inch sub. Berrigan’s is also home to the locally famous “Husky Subs”, which come with anything from chicken fingers, to jalapeño poppers, to fried battered mushrooms. There are 16 different kinds- each crazier than the last, but all definitely worth a try.
Smitty's Steaks
Smitty’s is a recent addition to the Bloomsburg community, but it has quickly won the favor of many of the students and residents of Bloomsburg. Its speciality is obviously its cheesesteak, which they allow you to customize with your choice of cheese and vegetables. Aside from their cheesesteaks, They also offer a variety of other sandwiches, hoagies, salads and other miscellaneous items. However, their specialty mac and cheese is especially notable as well as the nachos grande. Well worth the price.
Napoli Pizza
Napoli Pizza, aka Naps, is located on East Street in the basement of a house. While it does not offer ideal conditions for eating in, it offers free delivery all day, every day.
Bloomin' Thai
Bloomin Thai offers a unique dining option for Bloomsburg residents. It is considered a “Private Dining Club”, meaning that you have to pay a membership fee in order to dine in the restaurant. Aside from that, Bloomin’ Thai offers a delicious array of Thai food that can be ordered to your taste of spice. The Pad Thai is delicious and a favorite among many. While the prices may be a little higher than the typical college student would be willing to pay, you do get a lot for your money and there is plenty to eat as leftovers. One of the downfalls of this place is that they do not have the fastest service if you come in a large group, but the food is definitely worth the wait
Scoreboard Sports Tavern
The Scoreboard Sports tavern is the perfect place to go and watch the game. While it's located out of the way of many of the other Bloomsburg dining options (i.e. you can’t walk there), it is definitely worth the trip. Their wings are probably some of the best in town, offering 24 different flavors. Some of the most popular flavors of these are the Golden Fever, Old Bay, and the Jamaican Jerk. In addition to their wings, they also offer a long list of delicious burgers and sandwiches.
Ready Go Burrito
Ready Go Burrito offers delicious California style burritos for an affordable price. In addition to their burritos, they also serve tacos, wraps, salads, and soups. One of the popular burrto options is the Centralian, named so becasue of how hot it is. The restaurant also allows you to build your own burrito to your taste which is always a crowd pleaser.
West End Ale Haus
West End is the perfect place to sit down and enjoy a beer and a sandwich. This bar/restaurant combo has great food and a clean environment. The atmosphere has two pool tables, darts, and outside seating. The evening drink specials are so various, you will not be disappointed. The menu is quite large as well. Everything from salads to cheesesteak nachos, you will not be disappointed.
Rose Marie's
Rose Marie’s is a higher end restaurant in the Bloomsburg area. Located on a back alley, the restaurant is more of a hidden gem. With tight seating and good food, reservations are must in the evening. The menu consists of everything from pizza to finely prepared protein dishes. Metered parking is a downfall, but it is located right off of the main street, so walking from campus is not too terrible.
Steph's Subs
Formerly associated with Berrigan’s, Steph’s Subs consistently provides quality sandwiches without skimping on any of the essentials. Located directly downtown, this consistent sub shop provides quality food and service during the busy lunch rush. The bread and fresh ingredients are major selling points that will please even the stingiest sandwich connoisseur.
Bloomsburg Diner
The Bloomsburg Diner provides quality breakfast at a very reasonable prices. The servings are quite large and they serve breakfast all day. Located just off campus, this diner offers a friendly atmosphere with a larger menu. Two major downsides with the Bloomsburg Diner: Cash Only and Metered Parking.
